Query concerning investing pension contributions in funds

My firm gives me the choice of pension investment which I can split over a wealth of funds:

Legal And General Index Funds

----------------------------- UK All Share Index Fund Overseas Equity Fund Gilt Index Fund Corporate Bond Fund Cash Deposit Fund

Actively Managed Funds

---------------------------- ABN AMRO ( Global Equity ) Bailie Gifford ( UK Equity ) Bank Of Ireland ( Global Equity ) GMO ( UK Equity )

Can anyone give me advice for a ( in the short term ), medium risk / high gain. And ( in the long term ) low risk / medium returns?

My thinking in the short -> medium term is:

UK All Share Index Fund 25% ( UK equities have an upward trend ) Overseas Equity Fund 50% ( Global equities always have an upward trend. Investing in globals spreads the risk than just investing in U.K ) Gilt Index Fund 0% ( Corporate bonds tend to outperform gilts ) Corporate Bond Fund 25% ( Safe - slow growth ) Cash Deposit Fund 0% ( No risk - no gain )
