Multinational companies in several sectors are warning of supply-chain disruptions after the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis in Japan.



I always thought the trendy "just in time" model for keeping stock levels down was a false economy. Apparently the first place to be affected is a GM plant in Louisiana.

The company I worked for before retirement introduced JIT, and it frequently became JTL. ;-)
