Well, as a customer of Citibank in the UK I am more than happy with their call centre. The staff know what they are talking about and are able to take real action to help. I've been enjoying a £1000 fee-free, interest-free overdraft on my current account for the past year and have received exemplary customer service whenever I have needed it. Can't find another bank which gets anywhere near. Bodes very well for Egg, IMHO.
