Stopping a SWIFT transfer...

I made a grave mistake when filling out an international money transfer form at the bank today and need to stop the transfer. Is SWIFT really instantanous?, is there no grace period to stop payment?.

Any advice would be welcomed

Call your bank - technically SWIFT (transaction code MT192 or MT292) does allow cancellation, I've no idea of the procedures or timescales.
