You're probably right - but these political groups don't give a s*it about the needs of all women. What about the millions of women who choose to look after their own children while their husbands go out to work? Their financial needs are completely ignored by the tax, tax credits and benefits systems, unlike nearly everyone else.
I think things are slowly moving in the other direction here - ISTR a govt minister admitting the NHS spends 8 times as much(!!) on women as it does on men...

That seems more logical Andy. I didn't think, somehow, that the allowances were announced in LAST year's budget. Now I realise they are announced in the November mini-budget.
And perhaps that's about right. After all, men are fairly dispensable when all's said & done.

PS It's our fault for refusing to visit the doctor. Besides, who wants to live long enough to get Alzheimer's or be farmed off to an old folks' home?
