I created a Self-Directed IRA and formed a "Self-Directed IRA LLC" in New Jersey. I already bought one investment property in the name of the SDIRA LLC (a tenant-occupied duplex in New Jersey).
Now, I am hoping to find a CPA or accountant in New Jersey that I can use who knows about this specialized area of accounting (Self-Directed IRA's, Self-Directed IRA LLC's, and real estate investment properties). It seems like it is a rather narrow and specialized area of accounting and not that many accountants have experience in these specific areas.
I have tried the CPA organization websites (national and New Jersey) but they were not helpful.
Any suggestions of where to look or who to contact would be appreciated.
I am in Southern New Jersey (Camden County).
