Delete transactions in ADMIN

Sep 27, 2006 4 Replies

I just used the DELETE TRANSACTION selection in ADMIN.

The warning messages said "this deletes all SALES TRANSACTIONS" Since when is a PURCHASE order a SALES transaction?

Purchasing is BUYING. SALES is selling.

Why does this selection delete all POs????

Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb

Good thing I had a backup. However, now I have to RENAME my database to restore the backup. Since I had to do that now I have to go to all the computers and change the database.

I am not happy.

My comment was listed as a suggestion to MS. The warning needs to be more informative. It only says it will delete SALES TRANSACTIONS, not all transactions.

I was trying to clear out all the old junk before going live. But we had a few real PO's entered because they would not be arriving until after the Live date.
