Disable unused OPOS Devices in Tender Screen

Feb 28, 2006 1 Replies

The issue is that when the Tender screen is already open (to finalize a transaction), all hardware input devices (scanner, MSR, keyboard, etc) is active and enabled. This could cause the them to accidentally enter information in the tender screen incorrectly. One example that the customer gave is that when the item is scanned then pressed F12 to complete the transaction, they accidentally scanned a barcode (numerical) which entered a big amount in the tender screen.

So, the request is to Disable the other OPOS devices that are not used like the barcode scanner when in the tender screen.

This is entered in behalf of Shailesh Patel.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks.

Rey,

Would be kinda tough as not everyone uses OPOS devices. Keyboard wedges as an example.

Try setting a maximum tender for each tender type to say, $10,000.00. Manager | Database | Tender types | pick one | Verification tab | Maximum amount | 10,000.00
