Java Integration + Hooks

If you want to interact directly with RMS, you have to work with COM or in the case of an HTML add-in ActiveX. I think there are ways to wrap a COM interface around Java, but I'm really not sure. I suspect it would be pretty hairy. You might want to consider c# for an RMS integration - the language is very similar to Java, so your learning curve should be fairly short. RMS is built on SQL Server, so you could use JDBC to interface with the database directly.
