MS Dynamics POS 2009 / SQL Server 2005 Std / Crashes on First Star

Here's the setup. The following is the server config

Server w/ Intel XEON Processor & 8GB of RAM

2 x Harware RAID-1 Configs. 2x 500GB & 2x 1TB HDDs (Transparent to OS) OS (C:) for Operating System DATA (D:) for SQL Server & Other Data Windows Server 2003 Standard (Workgroup) (Installed on C:) Microsoft SQL 2005 Server Standard (Installed in Program Files on D:) Windows 2003 Server is fully updated to last available update SQL Server is fully updated to SP3 and last available update Office 2003 SP3 is installed Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 (only) is installed Dynamics POS 2009 in installed on C:

On first launch where the wizard guides you to setup a new store database, on step 3 or 4 where the wizard asks you to participate in the quality control feedback program thing right after the setup a new database screen, the program throws an error and shuts down. The exact error message is somewhat like this;

"PosEnsureConnection.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated. Looked high and low and didnt find anything similar to why this would be happening. Could it be because the SQL Server is sitting on the D Drive rather than C ???
