RMS - Great Plains integration questions

If anyone can shed some light on how the RMS - Great Plains integration deals with the following that would be a huge help:

  1. process in free stock from a supplier (ie samples)
  2. write off damaged stock at a store other than a stock take adjustment
  3. adjust receivable account where the invoiced price or quantity are incorrect
  4. adjustment purchases where the PO quantity or price are incorrect
  5. inter store transfers sent / received and sent but not yet received (ie transfer control account)
  6. posting and valuation of offline stock at group level
  7. are customers deleted in great plains when they are deleted in RMS?

thanks in advance

hi Shaun, To give you best answers your parnter is the main point. However wheatever I know I am giving you below: The integration is run when you have HQ version of RMS, however if you have only SO I am in process of developing the tool to send the data from RMS to GP (my own tool)

  1. To process free stock I recommded to create the separate item or you may use the same SKU # with zero cost make sure that what costing method you are using. We use the free SKU # for such issues
  2. Well you can move qty in GP from onhand to Damage and vice versa. However such feature is not at the level of RMS because you perform the normal inventory adjustment which could be same as physical invenotry adjust.
  3. Yes you can adjust anything anything in receiveable no problem
  4. If you are talking about mismatch like 3 way, PO created, received and then invoice I would say RMS deals only 2 way PO order, which goes to GO to GP and receiving also may goes to GP. but invoice and at the time of invoice some investiagation of price or qty done not possible. However at the GP level you can do so and later process the cost or qty difference at RMS.
  5. Inter store transfer are handle excellently using the RMS HQ version but to say that it will be in transit at the financial level is somehow possible (not tested) but the goods which are still in transit will remain in GP transit accounts and later be cleared aout.
  6. Well when you say offline I would say that won't work at the level of GP. becuase GP move the close batches not the open one. becuase in RMS offline the data remain there till it sycn. with online database.
  7. I think not sure but customer 2 way relation is there.

Hope you will find suitable answer.
