RMS Item Picture format issues?!?

Hello,

I've tried a number of jpg saves at various dimensions 300x300 pixels down to 100x100 pixels. Sizes from 50K down to 20K. However, the pictures still aren't visible within the "Special" Item Attribute picture window. If the picture doesn't show up there, it doesn't show up in my POS.

The "stock" images provided by MS, with the storelogo.jpg and storelogo2.jpg work perfectly. I've even tried to save to the same dimensions and filesizes, and still no dice.

Can someone please advise me as to the requirements of pictures to be implemented (and maximal settings 300x300, etc) in RMS. This is really essential for my environment.

Any insight is appreciated.

Put your image files into the folder Program Files, Microsoft Retail Management System, Store Operations, Pictures. Or go into Store Operations Administrator and change File, Configuration, Paths, Pictures to the folder you want to use for all your images.

You cannot place the pictures in multiple folders or the links won't work. The images all have to be in the same folder as defined in Administrator. The only exception to this rule is URL addresses. Locate the picture you want to link to the web, right-click on it, select Properties, Address (URL). Cut and paste that address into the Pictures box in the Specials tab.

You can use just about any image type and size, but you'll want to limit the maximize size to fit within your POS or Net Display screen resolution.
