I have read many posts complaining of the complete lack of control over how, when, and which statements print when you close a billing cycle. Have any patches or later releases (1.3) fixed this rather serious problem?
The reason I ask, is that I plan to integrate with Quickbooks to save myself an hour or more of manual data entry every day. However, if the statement problems still exist, that problem alone will put the kabosh on the whole works.
I usually have about 30 or so statements to print, 1-2 pages each, at the end of any given month which I generate with Quickbooks. However, when I attempted to generate statements with RMS, it spit out over 100 statements, many of them 10 pages or more. Thankfully, I cancelled the printing before it ate up an entire ream of paper and an entire toner cartridge. But the problem still remains... if I integrate, I will no longer be able to print statements out of Quickbooks because RMS doesn't export details on accounts receivable (such as customer name etc.) but rather stores all customer A/R in one large account.
It seems to me that with software as expensive as RMS is, it should have at least as much functionallity as a relatively cheap software such as Quickbooks without the need to purchase any additional plugins or extentions. Especially for a function as integral to business opperation as generating/printing statements.
