Worksheets OK on frame relay fail on DSL

We are seeing strange behavior at some of our stores. We are seeing WS250's (roughly 2500 items) process correctly on frame circuits but fail when the same WS is ran over DSL/VPN connection at same store.

After long processing delay and high CPU usage at store by HQ Client and SQL, the worksheet will failed logging a timeout in the client log, then the client will attempt to process the same sheet again...

Switching this back to frame the same sheet works fine. We have tested and adjusted MTU based on packet fragmentation tests.

Please advise if you can assist.

See the instructions below as to how to change the time out time for the remote client.

(i) Stop the client communication and cancel this program so it is not running on your machine at the store. Then on that store communication machine do the following

(ii) go to Start ==> EDIT ==> Regedit (this command will open the registry editor)

GO now to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ---- Software ---- Microsoft ---- Retail Management System ---- Headquarters ---- Client ---- Timeout

You will note that at the right hand side you have: (Default) Connection Message

Double click with the mouse on Message and change the value to 9999

This should resolve the time out issue in the communication store side.
