Estimate -> SQ -> Invoice Flow Question

We typically create estimates that turn into sales orders that are then invoiced. However we invoice on a percentage basis. The first invoice is a

30% downpayment, the second a 60% ready payment and a final 10% net 30 after shipment.

It appears that QB 2005 can only percentage invoice an estimate not a salesorder. So my question is, how can I keep track of my actual sales if I can't make a sales order from an estimate (because I cannot percentage invoice an SO only an estimate).

Is there another workflow I should be using?

Thanks for helping a new QB user...

Once when a Sales Order is made go to its corresponding Estimate and make it inactive. Now when making the Invoice for the customer, select the Sales Order and then select 'Create invoice for selected items'. In the 'To Invoice' column put "0.30" for 30%. To keep a track of the Open Sales Order go to Reports > Sales > Open Sales Order. Double click on the Sales Order whose report you want to see.
