Form Letters

How do I send a form letter to all customers:

  1. by U.S. mail
  2. by email

Because of the postage increase, we are thinking of sending out all our invoices and statements via email rather than U.S. mail as we have been doing. But before we do that, we need to make sure we have an email address for everyone and verify the ones we have. Therefore I'd like to send a form letter to all the customers whose email addresses we have on file to see if they are good. Additionally, I'd like to send a letter via U.S. Mail to all customers telling them what we are doing and asking for their preferred email address.

I looked in the help file under "form letters" and and didn't see anything. If the instructions are already there but the operation is called something else, I'd appreciate that info.

In my 2007 customer center there is a drop down menu for Word. You will find letters under here.

In the help file look under "Customers, letters to".
