Inactive Clients

The nature of my business is that I make typically one large sale to a client and that's it. I collect the money up-front at the conclusion of first appointment. Future sessions are not revenue makers generally.

is there a way to globally change a clients status to inactive, lets say for the year 2005 and before? Or do I have to do it to each client one by one by one ad nauseatum?

Thanks

Steve

I don't think so. If you select a big batch of them and right click see if it works but I doubt it.

If it is that much of a problem why even set them up as customers? You can just treat it it as a sale and not put it throgh accounts receivable.

You may be able to export the customer list. Open it in Excel, modify the inactive status and import it back in to QuickBooks. I think I have done something similar in the past. Please make sure to back up your QuickBooks before you import.
