QB for web based accounting office

May 19, 2007 4 Replies

Hi,

One of my client wants to put as much of his office functions on his company's website as possible. This is so that his employees can work at home or while on the road. A major piece is the accounting chores.

Has anyone done that with QB? If so, how?

TIA.

That is just remote login.

I would like to be able to simply use a web browser to access QB functions. This way, it is much more straight forward and without system administration implications.

It can be done. Find a web hosting company and put the QB files on the server. Use XP's Remote Access to log into the server & QB files. I don't know the specifics but I have worked remotely this way.

Then you should look into QB Online. That's the only version that I know that can be done via a web browser. All others require you to actually launch the QB program. Once I logged into the remote server it was set up to launch THEIR copy of QB.

hi i use QB online edition for some clients.you can talk about QBOE with me,if you interested.
