Does Q 2006 handle Social Security Scheduled Transactions?

Nov 20, 2005 3 Replies

I am running on Quicken H&B 2003. Social security payment occurs on the third Wednesday of every month for me. This cannot be strictly implemented as a scheduled transaction because you have to enter a date. A condition such as a specific day of each month is not available. Does Q 2006 address this?

This is not a major issue, for I enter a date around the third week, and just cope. But there has to be millions of Social Security recipients out theree that would appreciate this feature.

TIA

Try: Cash Flow - Banking Activities - Setup Paycheck. Then click on the Scheduling button and set the conditions you want. I believe it will do exactly what you described.

While the Paycheck feature may handle this, it is not necessary.

A simple two line split transaction works very well; one line for the gross payment and one line for the Part B deduction [if you participate]. QW06 offers the flexibility to schedule as desired, e.g., third Wedmesday of the month.
