Anyone know how or where to find the cost basis of what used to be called 'General Electric' which no longer exists?
Background: That company ("GE") has legally changed its name to "GE Aerospace" and it spun off its power systems unit to a new corporation called 'GE Vernova' effective 4/2/2024, stock symbol "GEV". (GE Aerospace kept the old 'GE' symbol).

John, thank you so much. There was a post in that thread from "alancgut" that seemed very reasonable and I'll give that a shot when I finish downloading regular transactions and make a backup before I try that.
