Simple question... I believe.

Does it make a difference if I enter a mutual fund dividend as:

1) One transaction RD

2) Two transactons DIV followed with a BUY Tansaction

Is there an effect on ROI/Tax reporting/Capital Gains when sold?

I have seen conflicting answers on this group on somewhat related transactions, but nothing on point.

Both will work the same. Recommend reinvest dividends as that is what actually happened in the real world.
