Running Q2006 Personl Plus - Australin version, but they all seem to be very similar. I have just set up a home equity loan and arranged to have my pay credited directly to it. The idea being that you draw down your pay gradually and so the oustanding balance is reduced (while your pay is in there) and so you pay slightly less intersest on the loan. However, when I set up my pay check in Q the drop down list of accounts does not contain the liabilty account? The liability account is not set up as a loan as there are no regular repayments and it runs for as long as the balance is outstanding, I suppose it is similar to an overdraft. Can someone else try this and see if they have the same problem? The strange thing is that I can credit my pay to another account and then use the "move transaction" function to move my pay to the liability accout and Q will happily transfer it???? I had a look at similar functions (eg transfer, record an income event for a share portfolio) and these seems to be O.K. However, the pay check set up also excludes credit cards. Maybe Q as a general rule assumes that you would not want to credit your pay to any type of liability account?
