Quicken Dlx 2005 - Reset Number of Mortage Payments

Jan 19, 2006 0 Replies

Assistance please.....

I have Quicken Deluxe 2005 and did the following:

  1. Created a Loan and Asset for a new home in December 2005 (30 year fixed; 360 payments)

  1. Made the first payment at the end of December. Total payments now 359

  2. On December 31, I created a year-end copy of my Quicken files and had Quicken create a fresh set of new ones for 2006, minus all the 2005 transactions. Just the year-end balances carried over.

  1. When I loaded the new 2006 file, I noticed the total number of payments is back to 360, even though the balance is correct and reflects the one payment.

If you think about it, for me, it's only off my one. I could delete the accounts and recreate them and add the one transaction again.

But the general problem is this: What if someone had made hundreds of payments and decided to do a year end copy? They'd lose where they were at.

This occurs in the Loan Accounts Summary view. How can I set it back to

359?

Thanks.

Jim
