Quicken 2008 Premier
Based on Help, I believe I want to make a Year End Copy with the data file containing only transactions after 12/31/2008 - The instructions say I need to reconcile. I understand my investment transactions will all carry over into the new file. But I still have these questions:
#1 Will uncleared checks dated befroe 12/31/2008 carry over into the new file?
#2 Will credit card transactions also be cut like checking accounts? Will credit card balances carry forward?
#3 I trust I will be able to open the archive file to review things and run reports, but I am cautious with my Quicken.
#4 Can I choose a different file name for the continuing file? (renaming works, I just want a different name)
