Sold investments

Hi; We use QW 2003 deluxe. I have read several posts regarding year end copying and am not sure this is the route I should take.

We have several investments that have been sold many years ago, some as far back as 15 years. I have them hidden so they do not show, is there a way to archive these records, I probably will never use the data but still do not want to delete them also, in the event of "Murphy's Law"

I basically want to clean up our files, maybe this may not be the proper method to ackomplish what I wish to do. Any idea's please. Thank-You!!!!

The Year-End-Copy function will not remove old investment transactions

- these are retained in the 'new' file set.

This function does remove non-investment transactions [that are reconciled].

This is a FAQ - and a frequent reply from some long-time users is Why? My files go back 15+ years and have no real problems. Some times wish I could clean up old closed accounts [bank, savings, etc] - but at same time like being able to go back and look at an old transaction or a look at a trend [e.g., Bug my wife with a report showing annual eating-out expenses :
