Tax report

Mar 19, 2011 1 Replies

I've never done much with investment reports, but now I need to.

In 2010, I liquidated a Roth IRA. I've kept all the transactions in Quicken. What I need to do is generate a report for my accountant for tax purposes. Since this is considered an early withdrawal, I need to determine the amount of gain so I can pay taxes on it.

Is there a built-in report that will show me what I need to know?

I'm running Quicken H&B 2010

Thanks for the help. Jeff

I don't have H&B, but I assume the canned reports are similar. Look under Reports / Investment and see if there's a Portfolio Value / Cost Basis report.

Alternatively, you could do a transaction report. The delta between what you invested and what you sold it for is your taxable gain.
