Hello, Has anyone reconciled a broker statement with the recent (March, 2009) stock dividend split between TWX and TWC? If so, how did you do it? Thx

As far as the reconciliation goes, yes, I've done it. It was easy because the Quicken account that held the TWX and TWC matched perfectly to the broker's statement. I suspect your question really is "how do I enter the spinoff of TWC from TWX?"
I don't use the Quicken stock spinoff Wizard for a variety of reasons. I make my calculations outside of Quicken and then make entries (e.g., return of capital, sales, added transactions) that get me to the right position.
If *you* want to use the spinoff Wizard then make your spinoff entry
*before* making the entry for the TWX reverse stock split. You got 0.08367 shares TWC for every 1 share of TWX. Use $6.3407601 and $24.97 for the "cost" of TWX and TWC, respectively. You'll end up with a fractional share of TWC that was subsequently sold and the cash posted to your brokerage account as a "cash in lieu of" entry. Next, do your reverse split of TWX (1 new share for 3 old shares). You'll probably end up with a fractional share of TWX (depending on your holdings) that also got sold and deposited in your account as a "cash in lieu of" entry. You enter the cash in lieu of entries as *sales* of the fractional shares using a selling price per share of $27.391304 for TWC and $21.659989 for the TWX.Tom Young
