I use my copy of TT to prepare returns for myself, my son, and my sister. This year I was going to use the ItsDeductible module for sister's returns; already used it to prepare my returns. I found that when we started into the module, it wanted to use the records I had created for my return. Is there any way to get ItsDeductible to handle separate files, linked to specific TT files?

I ran into this as well (and thought I responded earlier... but don't see my reply).
IAC, I've since created a workaround that I used in lieu of a better solution. I had a good backup of my data. Then I used ItsDed for one of my daughters tax returns this way. I named the charity: "charity - daughter's name" and input the data. Separately, we tallied the ID valuations as ID did its thing.
After completing all ID valuations, we input the tallied valuations into her return. I went back and deleted the charities relating to her donations and restored my backup just in case.
It wasn't an easy solution but it worked. Hopefully, TT will fix this "feature" of ID for next year.
