E-filers Fake Tax "Refund" Web Sites Rampant

This blog, from the 'Washington Post' web security expert, should serve as a caution to E-filers whether or not they expect a refund.

As noted in the article, it is timely for those who obtained filing extensions -- as well as for future years.

Very interesting read there, Bill. that explains the email from IRS last week or so commanding us ERO's to register with them any web site we use to obtain tax filing information from clients. And btw, that deadling was extended by IRS until September 10th. It's nice to be able to provide links to mainstream American media, speaking of which, I notice that NOO YAWK times rag recently announced no more charges for their web content. Of course that doesn't mean I'll beat down their door even for free access. (grin) ChEAr$, Harlan
