I have a client who built a new home this year - he was the general contractor. Does he qualify for the $2,000 energy efficient home credit?

I believe it goes to the home buyer/home owner. If it's for his personal residence, he can take the credit.

Were the required minimum energy efficient items installed in the house? Can't get the credit just for building a new house. ChEAr$, Harlan Lunsford, EA n LA
