How to Receive a Refund

The instructions for the Form 1040 say that for direct deposit, the account must be in the filer's name. What if the account is in the filer's name, and his father's name, as joint owners. The tax form is for the filer only. But the SSN associated with the account is the filer's. Will the IRS be happy with that?

Joint ownership of the account shouldn't be a problem.
