HSA deduction confusing

Turbotax and Taxcut are giving me different results wrt whether I get a HSA deduction. I think I've figured out why, but want to make sure...

I contributed $100 in the year 2008, but through a cafeteria plan. My W-2 shows in Box 12, an entry for "W" $100. The code "W" refers to EMPLOYER contributions.

I assume the $100 that I contributed via cafeteria was actually considered an EMPLOYER contribution for tax purposes.

Thus when Turbotax or Taxcut asks me how much I personally contributed to my HSA, I should enter ZERO (technically I contributed $100 out of my own pocket, but it should be considered ZERO because it has already been deducted from my Box 1 wages, right?). And when it asks how much my employer contributed, I should enter $100. Is this correct?

TIA

Yes. Your employer got a tax break for paying you the compensation in question.

Right. You did NOT contribute it out of your own after-tax pocket.

Yes.
