HSAs under the ACA

Much confusion whether there will or will not be HSA compatible plans offered in California. As far as I can tell at the moment, they are offered but not through the California Exchange - no mention is made of them. So, it is up to you and your crystal ball to know to go to a private insurance broker to find them.

Are the HSA amounts for 2014 the same as announce by the IRS in May 2013 ($3,300 individual, plus possible catch up of $1,000 if over 55 years of age), or have they changed due to ACA?

In article you write:

Here in NY there are no HSA plans in the exchange, but several of the plans my current carrier (Blue Cross) is offering me directly are indeed HSA eligible, and look exactly like some of the exchange ones. So a straightforward approach might be to see who's offering plans on the exchange with high deductibles and contact them directly.

The IRS says $3300 individual, $6550 family. No change to the catch up rule that I can see.
