Is there a similar group for Canadian taxes?

There is can.taxes group but it isn't moderated. As a result, it has been taken over by two groups. One group is the you don't owe taxes and the other is extremist political. During the tax season, it does have occasional, worthwhile, questions and replies floating around but at this time of year, you are unlikely to find much.

I follow some other boards, one by Intuit for its tax and accounting products in Canada and the remainder are restricted pro boards.

Searching the archives shows a small but steady number of Canada-related tax questions have been posted here and responded to, most commonly ones dealing with dual U.S./Canadian taxation.

The misc.taxes group, while unmoderated, also might be worth a try if you don't get a good response here (but please don't cross-post, try one group first to see if you get what you are looking for).

The only groups similar to misc.taxes.moderated are professional tax forums. There is an *.can group but it is a worse funny farm than misc.taxes.

I don't have a specific question. I am trying to find a Canadian tax accountant/preparer who is knowledgeable in FAPI and FIE issues -- to file forms T3 and 1134B -- preferrably in Vancouver [but the location is flexible].

In Vancouver is the headquarters for CGA Canada. I would suggest obtaining a referral from them.

While I do prepare T3 returns for testamentary trusts, I do not handle the the intra vivos trusts which you are referring to. Presently I judge the risks for the work too great.
