New Car Excise Tax ? Sr. Citizen Question

Hello,



Live in Mass.



Bought a new car in 2018.



Is the excise tax on it that was paid to the state part of that $



10,000 ceiling (the state and local tax), or can it be deductable elsewhere ? If so, where, please ?

I am in MA as well. Yes, it was similar to property tax and was clustered with the taxes that are capped at $10K. MA got hit hard by this cap.
