I notice on form 8888, tpyr can get their refund on a paper savings bond. The last I knew, govt weren't issuing paper bonds any more. Has anyone ever had a TPYER request a bond for a refund lately?

It is the only way one can buy paper bonds. We buy a few each year for the grand kids. This year, we had to make an estimated payment in January just to have a refund to buy bonds.
