I have a question. I filed 1040NR, claimed spouse and kids exemptions. 1040NR Tax table shows only married filling separately, Qualify window and Single. I have heard that Canadian can use 'Married file jointly' table from 1040 resident form, but they have to provide some tax treaty reference.
- Is it possible for Canadian to use tax table from 1040 form as married file jointly? (Even when their family lives in Canada and husband working in State)
- If possible then what are the references? Publication/article or treaty number. Thanks
