Advice on who to speak to

Wondering if someone can recommend somebody for me to talk to. I am trying to get into investing in property. I don't have a bad credit history - no CCJs, or anything, not bankrupt - juse a few late payments etc.

However, I do have some tax issues going back a few years and fines for not handing tax returns in. Don't know if this would preclude me from getting a mortgage but I do want to clear this up.

I think I would benefit from someone taking men through the issues step by step. Can anyone recommend a personable bookeeper, tax consultant, or accountant that I can speak speak to in order for me to start clearing this up?

I'm based in London.

Thanks Daytona,

I have copies of my credit record already. I specifically need to clear up the tax issues - which aren't showing up on the credit reference.

Any more advice?

Then you're probably able to get a mortgage to fund the investment property. Whether it's sensible to invest in property at this time in the cycle is covered in the previous posts.

Tax issues don't generally appear on your credit report, so it won't affect your credit rating.

A book keeper probably isn't going to be qualified to do this. Any Chartered Certified or Chartered Accountant should be able to help.

The Inland Revenue does not report failure to pay to Credit Agencies, mores the pity.
