Best Visa credit card for benefits.

What is the best Visa credit card for benefits. I am thinking of things like travel insurance and cash back.

Don't know about those specific things, but we put almost all of our household spending on the Tesco Clubcard VISA. You get 0.25% on every pound spent (1.25% on in-store spend) which can then be redeemed at 4x face value against one of their wide range of "Clubcard Deals". We've used it for theme parks tickets, restaurant tokens and RAC membership among other things.

Far too convoluted for me. It looks as if you get 1% back if you buy from one of their partners. Not very good.

Most point systems are convoluted. If you don't like complexity and don't fancy the time and challenge the best advice is to avoid them, along with credit cards.

I would be especially wary of 'free' travel insurance. For this you have to check the T&Cs of this insurance carefully. I heard one Co say that their 'free' travel insurance should not be considered a replacement for... travel insurance.

Obviously.

Yes, that's how it looks to me. The 'benefits' are not really benefits but just optimistically worded and deceitful sales talk. I do not like liars.

Does it have to be Visa? Theres couple of Mastercard cash back cards that offer 1% back. I think thats about best you'll get subject to short term offers.
