car finance with bad credit rating - part two

My daughter went with her friend to Yes Car last weekend.

Very high pressure, high interest and over priced car.

Luckily my daughter is tough and managed to get her friend out the door despite the manager being brought in to add to the pressure.

However her friend has now had a total of eleven separate calls from them and is very very stressed about the experience - but not able to assert herself.

Any ideas on how to tell them to 'go away'. Effective ones rather than ranting or swearing?

Sounds like a job for trading standards to me .. either directly, or via the citizens advice bureau.

As somebody else has pointed out, they are utter rubbish.

Let the Trading Standards Dept of your council do this for you.

Just hang the phone up. Dont get into discussion. Just hang the phone up.

Why does she need to?

They can't make her buy a car over the phone (can they?). Just lie to them, tell them that you are going to come in to look at more cars and then just don't go. They get the message eventually.

As soon as you identify they are from Yes Car Credit, and before they have finished speaking, cut in and say

"I am not interested. Please do not call me again. Goodbye"

and hang up on them.
