Decreasing Term Calculator

Apr 29, 2005 2 Replies

Hi!

Can anyone suggest where I might find a tool to calculate the amout that will pay out at any given point in time during a Decreasing Term life policy?

For example, if the policy is initially for £100 over ten years, I want to be able to calculate how much the policy will pay if, for example, I pop my clogs at the end of year 5?

Thanks!

What interest rate does the policy assume for its progression?

They are not all the same. You might have a policy which decreases in line with a mortgage loan, but the assumed interest rates can vary. Or you may have a straight line reduction, but the rate of reduction can vary.
