First accounts and corporation tax form.

Mar 30, 2007 3 Replies

Hi,

I am filling in the CT600 for my company that has never traded or done anything. They ask to give a reason if there are no accounts or computations provided. Will they object if I just explain that the company has never done any trading and so there is nothing to provide. These are the first accounts.

Cheers.

Write a letter explaining.

Didn't you send the New Company Details form back?

Yes, I did, and at that point I thought the company would start trading, but it never happened, so, as per your suggestion, I will write a letter and include it with the CT600.

Thanks.

Why not fill in this

and send a copy to HMRC. That counts as a set of accounts, and you will have to do it for Companies House anyway.
