FPC EXAMS

How good are the FPC exams and what is their reputation in the finance world?

Are they easy to pass? and worth passing?

Thanks ZK

They are an essential minimum if you want to work as any kind of financial advisor. I don't have personal experience, but I seem to remember them being described as similar to an A-level in difficulty.

No, they're =way= easier than A-level. Multiple choice, for a start. I didn't find them any trouble at all, despite being 30 years out of date at passing tests.

As the man said, all questions are easy if you know the answers.

I took all three of them last year - somewhere between GCSE and A-Level in difficulty, but tending towards the GCSE. You won't have any trouble! Just get your exam technique right for FP3, as you need to make sure that you state the obvious.

Bitstring , from the wonderful person Laura said

FP3 is notable harder than the other two .. however none of them come close to (old style) A-levels, IMO. A few weeks study required, as opposed to 1 or 2 years.

Phew, thats a relief. Its years since I did them but you saying earlier that they were multiple choice made think that either Id gone mad or they had gone much easier.

They are nowhere near A level standard I reckon, but part 3 needs you to have the ability to be a good adviser, and some do and some dont.
