Funeral Plans

Are funeral prepayment funeral plans a worthwhile investment, given the ever rising costs of funerals? This would also remove any extra financial problems for my heirs. Or would it be better simply to invest the money in an ISA? I will be 65 next year.

Wonder why he's selling. Has he discovered the secret of eternal life?

"Designed to withstand dampness and rough handling". Presumably in case you want to be buried at sea, and you've chosen Parcel Force as your undertakers...

no.

Their target market is people who are worried that their estate will not be able to afford to bury them at all.

If you are not in this category, then don't bother with one.

It's awfully decent of you to want to spare your heirs the financial burden of your demise.

However, I really think that by now you have probably earned the right to enjoy your own money in what remains of your days on this earth. Your main worry may probably be that, should you need to enter a care home in your declining years, you may need to think about how this is to be financed.
