GOV TAX CREDITS fraud - Beware!

Quite, Despite being highly qualified I am currently in a low paid job (the only job I could find to fit around school hours) I resent having to claim benefits but the tax credits make up almost 40% of my income and it would be impossible to live without them.

My favoured solution would be to raise the minnimum wage to a point where no-one in employment should need state assistance. The would also enable us to get rid of all those spineless scumbag benefits people (my favoured solution would be to dress them up as foxes and set the dogs on them ;-)

What are your thoughts on the latest S660A debacle - where actual *earners* are not allowed to use their personal allowances against the income they receive?!

[Scenario: husband & wife work for their own company, both hold shares, one deals with all clients & other does all "backoffice" work - paying dividends to both, but the one doing all the "backoffice" work cannot use their personal allowances...]

With a decent tax system, like in most civilised countries, it shouldn't matter who in a couple earns the money.
