ICICI bank savings rates

With effect from  November 1, 2005, ICICI Bank UK Ltd. will revise the HiSAVE savings interest rate to

5.15% AER (5.03% Gross). All our new and existing account holders will enjoy this revised rate.

Strange wording - 'will enjoy' a reduction in rates ?

The BBC Money box program has just had an item on ICICI

The company spokesman blatantly lied to the interviewer. He said that account setting-up takes days. My account so far has taken nearly three months to set-up and still I cannot access my money.

The FSA is having 'talks' with ICICI because they are concerned about how ICICI are handling accounts.

Other customers complained that ICICI don't answer emails and when phoning the person at the other end of the line has a poor command of English and cannot help because the system has failed.

Perhaps an understanding of the secondary meaning of the word 'enjoy' is all that is required here.

I can't which chancellor it was ( before Brown) who said in his budget speech that we shouldbe glad that they were taking steps towards lowering the income tax rate. In this particular case the step we should be thankful was that the rate at which certain allowances were given was to be educed - years before the rate at which tax was paid came down.

True - but it illustates the problem of translation using a dictionary rather than an understanding of the language and culture.

Not at all. It illustrates the problem of the limited vocabulary prevalent in today's society. Whilst certainly not as common as the first definition, neither it is rare to find the word 'enjoy' used in the context of the example above.
