Index-Linked Bonds

Hi all. Wondering if someone can help me with the following:

1) where can I find a chart for UK index-linked bonds - something like monthly, going back 10 years.

2) I want to put my pension into IL bonds, as I have just discovered the the cash fund I am currently invested in is 40% commercial paper, which I consider highly risky at the moment. I am led to believe that the best time to buy IL bonds is when "normal" bonds are at the peak of their price or yielding the least (ie. when inflation expectations are lowest). Is this correct and can someone explain this to me better?

3) what maturity to buy if I expect inflation to rocket (hyper inflation?). I am thinking that shorter maturites (5 years?) might have the biggest price increases.

Thanks for any help or comments.
