Has anyone purchased property with MacAnthony Reality in Bansko Bulgaria? If so how was your purchase case treated. My own personal experiences have not been good since my return from my site visit with MacAnthony Reality in April of this year.
On my site visit everything was great I can not fault how I was treated, it was very professionally run, but I guess I was getting what I paid for. I wanted to purchase an apartment in their St Ivan's development which is due for completion end of 07. I really wanted to think about this purchase on my return but because of pressures put on me when I was there, I was told that chances are that it would be sold if I delayed. I eventually did pay a deposit of 2000 Euros, and was told that my contract would be emailed to me with in the next couple of weeks.
During these few weeks I was called constantly to arrange money transfers and even new opportunities that were becoming available in Romania so that I could purchase more apartments. These weeks dragged on to months and I still had not received my contract, there were many more phone calls telling me that there was going to be a delay. These calls began to dwindle and I still had not received my contract. I even received threatening mails, that I would lose my purchase if my funds were not transferred. I had to correct them in this case and tell them that I had still not received my contract, so wouldn't be transferring any funds.
My contract has eventually arrived almost 6 months later by email, but it's completely wrong. The unit number of the apartment is wrong, the price of the apartment is wrong, my name is included with someone else's name on the contract and my postal address is wrong. Due to these major flaws and considerable delay in receiving this contract, I have demanded a full refund of the deposit paid, as they have put me through a lot of distress and inconvenience.
I have not even had a telephone call now in over 3 months explaining the situation why the apartment I chose on my site visit has changed price and number, and now that I have demanded a refund it seems that no one cares why. They haven't even bothered finding out what is wrong and giving me an explanation on this situation.
careful when dealing with this company, and don't be swayed by their smooth sales approach.
I will however let you know if they do come back with my deposit a phone call and an apology, I think it is the least they could do.
