Nationwide calculator hopelessly wrong

That I believe truly reflects the state of the current crash. Part of the "bubble" in the 255k was this website and its ilk:

...which is hopelessly wrong. It shows house prices round here as having more than doubled since 1st Jan 2000, in fact they have increased by less than 50%.

Don't the Nationwide do some mathematical jiggery pokery where they have insufficient data, ie where they have few offices ?

Perhaps that's the answer.

But why bother looking at the Haliwide data when you can get more accurate data from the Land Registry or
