Payment in Dollars

Jan 18, 2007 0 Replies

Hi all

I work for a company that was originally British owned but now under American ownership. My salary is paid in GBP. Employees are due a bonus in March which is calculated as a percentage of an overall pot stated in dollars.

With the current exchange rate, taking payment in dollars now and waiting for a more favourable rate would seem wise. Is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to setup a dollar account and get this bonus paid into it? The bonus is to be paid in 2 parts March 2007 an March 2008 if that makes a difference.

TIA

Phil
